TESTING: Official pre-season testing will take place at the Circuit de Valencia on October 2, 3 and 5. Of course, we’ll bring you full coverage throughout the three-day test, as well as all the behind-the-scenes news and features.
Formula E is also expected to bring back an in-season test and introduce a rookie-only test that will be open only to drivers who have never held an eLicence.
In addition, the number of officially-organised test days allowed has risen from three to six, as has the number of promotional events available to the teams.
TEAMS & DRIVERS: On the team front, the same 10 teams will race although Faraday Future will now revert to its original Dragon Racing and NextEV will move to NIO. Driver wise, half the teams have now revealed their driver line-up with Techeetah, Andretti, NIO and Venturi still to confirm their full line-ups.
FASTEST LAP: The criteria for setting the fastest lap is among several changes to the sporting regulations for the 2017/18 season. Now, only cars finishing in the top 10 will be eligible.
RACE POWER: Race power has been increased from 170kW to 180kW.
FANBOOST: Has also seen a slight tweak to become 100kj of extra energy to be used in a power band from 190kW to 200kW.
NUMBERS: Bigger numbers and the use of the driver’s abbreviated name has been added to the regulations.
SCHEDULE: Finally, as seen in New York, only one 45-minute practice session will take place on the second day of a double-header.
