The updated calendar for Season 10 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship has officially been released, with races in China, India and the United States of America all taking place.
Following the big news in August’s provisional calendar announcement of a first-ever race in Tokyo, Japan, the headline news this time around is the return of the sport to China – host of the first-ever E-Prix back in 2014.

Shanghai will now host Rounds 12 & 13 of the 2023-24 season in May next year.
With races returning to India (Hyderabad, Round 4) and the USA (Portland, Round 14), Formula E will be the only motorsport world championship to race in the three most-populous countries on earth next year.
Familiar venues Monaco, Berlin, Mexico and Sao Paulo are all on the calendar once more– while London will yet again host the season finale around the ExCeL Centre in July.
The competition’s usual stop in Jakarta, Indonesia is not currently on the calendar for Season 10 due to political elections due to take place in the country in June next year – although Formula E and authorities in the capital “are exploring the feasibility of racing in the city on an alternative date”.
Another outstanding change still to be made to the calendar concerns Rounds 7&8 in Italy, where alternative venues to usual host Rome are being evaluated, after the Season 9 races around the Eternal City saw the faster and more powerful Gen3 cars push the limits of the street setup.
Formula E say an update on the venue for the races in Italy should arrive before the end of the year.

Envision Racing are the reigning Formula E world champions, having clinched the Teams’ Championship for the first time in its history in Season 9.
Victory in the final race of the season in London helped clinch the title for the Silverstone-based team – adding to a record-breaking year that saw the team win four races, clinch a further five podiums, notch three pole positions and finish with a team record total of 304 points.
Sebastien Buemi and Robin Frijns will drive for the team as it looks to defend its title across Season 10.
