TEMPERATURES SOAR IN BERLIN AS TEAM PREPARE FOR SECOND RACE DAY

Following yesterday’s incredible podium position for Sam Bird, the team returned to the track for the third free practice session of the reverse Tempelhof circuit.

The battle for podium positions in yesterday’s race became heavily reliant on energy management and the top drivers crossed the line with nothing left to use, making today’s practice session incredibly important to find further efficiencies ahead of the second race this evening.

Improving weather conditions in the German capital mean that track temperatures – currently at 34C – are continuing to rise, making tyre and battery management even more crucial for the upcoming second race.

Completing race runs in this morning session, both Sam Bird and Robin Frijns ran consistently for the final time ahead of qualifying and finished the session with Frijns in P15 and Bird just behind in P16.

Next up, join us for qualifying at 14:15 local time (13:15 UK time) where Sam will be in Group 1 and Robin will be in Group 3.
