Envision Racing will be aiming for redemption as Season 11 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship begins this week (7 December).
Round 1 of the all-electric series hits the streets of Sao Paulo and will witness the first race with the new generation of Formula E machinery – the GEN3 Evo.
An unchanged driver line-up for the Green Machine sees Sebastien Buemi and Robin Frijns determined to challenge for more wins and podiums across the 16-round World Championship.

A productive pre-season test week at the Circuit del Jarama in November saw the GEN3 Evo hit the track for the first time and the team gathered plenty of crucial data for the season ahead. The new car boasts an acceleration 0-60mph in 1.82 seconds, which is 30% faster than the current Formula 1 car, and 36% faster than the previous GEN3 car.
Capable of accelerating nearly a full second faster than its predecessor – the GEN3 – that was the world’s first race car designed for street racing, it sets an even higher standard in performance, sustainability, and efficiency.
THE CIRCUIT

Expect action-packed racing throughout the 11-turn circuit, which is built around the Anhembi Sambadrome – one of the largest outdoor venues in the Brazilian city.
The three long straights are connected by a series of tricky chicanes, putting the drivers to the test as they navigate the fastest accelerating single-seater race car around the 2.93km lap.
The stage is set for Formula E history to be made when the lights go green on race day – 22 of the world’s best drivers will power off the grid in all-wheel drive mode, subsequently launching the new era of the sport into the world.

TRACK RECORD
Season 10 Results
Sebastien Buemi: P10 & Fastest Lap
Robin Frijns: P19
Following a difficult qualifying last season around the Sambadrome, Buemi managed to work his way up through the order from P18 to P10 at the finish. Another point was earnt for achieving the fastest lap. Frijns demonstrated strong pace but failed to translate that into a points finishing result.
Notable Results:
Envision Racing secured a podium finish in Season 9 (P2) of the inaugural Sao Paulo E-Prix, back in 2023.

WHAT OUR DRIVERS HAVE TO SAY…
Sebastien Buemi said: “I am really looking forward to the first race of the season. The circuit is challenging, and it is going to be even more exciting in the new GEN3 Evo car. Last season I had to come from the back of the grid, and ultimately scored points, so the aim this season is to start higher up and have a strong start to the season.”
Robin Frijns said: “The first race of Season 11 in the new GEN3 Evo car is going to be very interesting. It will be our first chance to see how competitive everyone is, and we will be pushing to ensure we are at the front. I had a disappointing race in Sao Paulo in Season 10, but preparations have gone well so far and I am looking forward to getting out on track.”
