The aim of the ‘Race Against Climate Change’ (RACC) is to accelerate the transition to clean, secure and affordable renewable energy and speed up the mass adoption of e-mobility.
In short, we care passionately about our planet. Climate breakdown is already affecting our planet, and impacting the people and wildlife who call it home. If we are to safeguard our future we all need to take action – fortunately, there are many ways we can all do that!
Our RACC programme tries to encompass as many aspects of that as possible – from awareness activations and our pledge programme to thought-leadership conferences hosted at major cities around the world.
Working alongside all those we come into contact with as part of our journey – fans, colleagues, partners, business leaders, government officials and more – we aim to super-charge the transition to a greener, more sustainable world for all!

Over 250,000 fans have already made a pledge to make more sustainable choices in their day-to-day lives, as part of our ground-breaking pledge programme.
A total of 13 different pledges, covering a whole host of topics, are currently available for fans to take on – ranging from energy usage and transport footprint, to e-waste and sustainable fashion.
By taking each pledge, fans learn more about the impact their current habits may be having on the environment – and just how big a difference some seemingly minor changes could make.
What is more, for each pledge the team is planting a mangrove tree in Madagascar – with the eventual ambition of reaching ONE MILLION pledges.
Hosted in major cities all across the world, RACC: Live brings together major voices from business, government and global NGOs to discuss the major issues in sustainability.
To date the team has hosted events in London, New York, Tokyo, Berlin, Paris and Shanghai – with further events planned for 2025 and beyond.
Contributors to past RACC: Live events include Dr. Michael Mann, Dr. Jane Goodall, Sir Richard Branson, Professor Ed Hawkins, Eliud Kipchoge, Aidan Gallagher and many more.
The team has partnered with a number of organisations in order to work together to promote a more sustainable outlook.
In 2023, after winning its first world championship, Envision Racing became the first motorsport team to partner with Climate Stripes – putting them on the car at every race location around the world.
In 2024, the team partnered with Cartoon Network to launch a Roblox game aimed at educating young players about e-waste – a game that enjoyed over five million users in its first six months, with over one million in-game ‘pledges’ taken.
The team has been a consistent presence at COP events annually, and has maintained three-star sustainable certification with the FIA – the highest possible standard.
