Alice Powell

An experienced and decorated driver in her own right, British racer Alice Powell has done developmental work for the team for a number of years now – alongside a burgeoning broadcast career.

Powell is currently the official Test and Development driver for the team. She started racing when she was just eight years old. In 2010, at the age of 17, she became the youngest racer and first woman to win a Formula Renault championship and, in 2012, the first female driver to score points in the GP3 Series.

In 2020 Powell got her first taste of electric machinery, when she took part in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship Season 6 Rookie Test with Envision Racing.

In the same year, Powell competed in the W Series, where she achieved numerous podiums, and finished 3rd overall in the championship. The following year she went on to challenge for the title once again, taking three wins along the way and ultimately finished in the runner-up spot.

Powell has continued in her development role with Envision Racing since officially joining the team in 2021. She has completed extensive simulator work since Season 7, and was part of the Season 9 World Championship success.

Beyond that, she is a driver coach for a number of young racers, and is also a commentator and pundit. Alice is an integral member of the team, and a strong advocate for inspiring the next generation of girls in motorsport.
