A productive, busy week in Valencia for Envision Racing: a new driver, five days of on track-action and a women’s test complete.
Season 12 officially kicked off in Valencia for the pre-season test. It was the first outing of the new season for all teams and drivers to take to the track together. The week consisted of four three-hour sessions for official drivers Sebastien Buemi and Joel Eriksson – including a race simulation.

Buemi ended the test P9 overall, just 0.180 off the fastest time of the week, demonstrating just how competitive the field is. Eriksson completed his first week as an official driver for the Silverstone based team within a second off the top of the leader board.

The final day of testing was reserved for the second annual all-women’s test – in which Alice Powell and Ella Lloyd drove for Envision Racing. Formula E’s commitment to women in motorsport was once again shown, and competitive times were set.
During the morning session, Powell featured at the top of the timings, ultimately finishing P4 with team-mate Lloyd just behind in P5. The afternoon concluded with the pair repeating their finishing positions with strong pace.

Overall, the team completed plenty of laps and gathered a huge amount of data to take forward to the first race on December 6 in Sao Paulo.
