British driver Johnathan Hoggard will get his first taste of Formula E machinery during the all-rookie test day at the Tempelhof Airport circuit.
Hoggard, 24, will join fellow Briton Zak O’Sullivan to complete Envision Racing’s rookie driver line-up on July 14.

The British driver has been supporting the team during Season 11 as a simulator driver, and the test will offer a valuable opportunity to learn how the car handles and performs on track.
A highly regarded talent in the junior ranks, Hoggard boasts an impressive racing résumé that includes race wins and championship podiums in both British Formula 4 and Formula 3. His standout performances earned him the prestigious BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award, which included a Formula 1 test as part of the prize.
Though Hoggard has not raced full-time in recent seasons, he has remained sharp and race-ready through continued simulator work, making him well-prepared for this step into Formula E action.
Johnathan Hoggard said: “I’m super excited to take part in the Formula E Rookie Test with Envision Racing. I have been working with the team on the sim during the course of this year and it will be a good opportunity to further develop.
I’m looking forward to getting started and also very thankful to the team for the opportunity.”
Managing Director & CTO Sylvain Filippi said: “We are pleased to offer this opportunity to Johnathan to participate in the rookie test with us.
He is a proven talented driver, and the test will be very helpful for him to learn more about the car and be able to correlate that back to his simulator duties.”
The test day will take place after the Berlin E-Prix double-header weekend on July 12-13.
