Following a productive first outing in Berlin, Jack Aitken will return to Envision Racing for the upcoming rookie test in Rome.
After getting behind the wheel of a Formula E car for the first time in May, Aitken will now have a further opportunity to test for the Silverstone-based outfit ahead of July’s double-header in the Italian capital.
Rounds 13 and 14 of the 2022-23 Formula E Championship are scheduled to take place on July 15 and 16 in Rome, with the second rookie test of the season set to take place in the days prior.
Aitken, 27, completed 19 laps during his first run-out in Berlin, assisting the team as they continued to gather data and insights into the new Gen3 cars.
The British-South Korean racer will now have a further opportunity to test that machinery ahead of what promises to be an exciting conclusion to the season for the team.
Envision Racing have enjoyed a successful first half of Season 9 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, with Sébastien Buemi and Nick Cassidy combining to put the team in contention at the top of the Constructors’ Standings after 11 of the 16 races.
Cassidy also currently sits in contention in the Drivers’ Standings, aided by back-to-back victories in Berlin and Monaco.
