Formula E announce record-breaking calendar for Season 12 with 18 races

Following the FIA World Motorsport Council Meeting, Formula E have announced the provisional calendar for Season 12 of the all-electric World Championship.

The calendar boasts the most races ever featured on a Formula E calendar – with 18 races set to take place across 12 global cities.

Highlights on the calendar include a first race event at the Miami International Autodrome, following a successful EVO Sessions event at the Hard Rock Stadium earlier this year. It will be a first-time racing in the Spanish capital of Madrid at the Circuit del Jarama, which played host to the official Season 11 pre-season testing after the devastating floods in Valencia.

Returning venues include Jeddah, Berlin, Tokyo and Shanghai, each hosting double-header weekends – Jeddah featuring the calendars only night races. Monaco continues its role as the jewel in the crown of motorsport, with another double header on the iconic street circuit. The Principality has hosted huge success for Envision Racing, with two wins in the last three years – most recently Sebastien Buemi taking a sensational win in May.

Two locations are marked as TBC and will be made public once negotiations are complete ahead of the forthcoming World Motorsport Council Meetings later in the year.
