Virgin Racing TO HOST PRESTIGIOUS NEW YORK INNOVATION SUMMIT

Virgin Racing is to host a one-of-its-kind Innovation Summit ahead of the New York Formula E race that will see panellists such as Sir Richard Branson addressing the issue of climate change.

Held at Brooklyn’s New Lab – a facility designed to support entrepreneurs working in emerging technologies – the event will see 250 of some of the city’s more influential business leaders, entrepreneurs and media discussing the role business can play in tackling the global issue.

The event, held on Friday 14 July, will be the largest to date of all the Innovation Summits held by the team and will feature extensive social media coverage including being live streamed on the Virgin channels.

Team Principal Alex Tai commented: “Our Innovation Summits are an integral part of how the Virgin Group, the Virgin Racing Formula E Team and our partners seek to drive awareness, engagement and action in relation to clean energy and sustainability. From the outset, we’ve always positioned ourselves as much more than a race team and one that is able to power innovation both on and off the race track.”

Further details on the event will be revealed over the coming weeks.
