Dr Jane Goodall and Aidan Gallagher amongst high-profile speakers at Race Against Climate Change event

Envision Racing announces Dr Jane Goodall and actor Aidan Gallagher amongst roster of high-profile speakers at upcoming Race Against Climate Change Event.

Ahead of the Formula E Season 9 championship finale in London at the end of this month, Envision Racing team in partnership with New Scientist, and the UK Government will be holding their fourth Race Against Climate Change Live event at the Science Museum, London.

Headlining the programme will be interviews with Dr Jane Goodall, DBE, world renowned conservationist, founder of the Jane Goodall Institute and UN Messenger of Peace, and Aidan Gallagher, actor, musician and UN Environment Goodwill Programme Ambassador for North America.

The event will bring together further leading figures from businesses sport, policy, entertainment, science and technology to share insights on the next steps for electric mobility, the critical role of circularity in making this a sustainable transition and the part we can all play in keeping 1.5 alive.

Having run a series of high-profile events in both London and Berlin in recent years with the aim of accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles and inspiring positive climate action, Envision Racing is excited to announce its most ambitious Race Against Climate Change event to date, taking place at the prestigious Science Museum and broadcast to a global audience in partnership with New Scientist.

Sky Sports presenter David Garrido will be hosting the event and, along with the headline interviews, there will be two in-depth panel debates moderated by writer and columnist for New Scientist, Graham Lawton, and EV expert and founder of Electric Vehicles Outlook, Roger Atkins.

The two panels will discuss the future of electric mobility and the transition to sustainable transport systemsand tackling e-waste – a circular approach to the EV transition. Confirmed speakers for these panels include:

  • Dr Maria Neria, Director Public Health, Environmental and social determinants of Health, World Health Organisation (WHO)

  • Professor Ed Hawkins, Professor of Climate Science, University of Reading
  • Evan Horetsky, Chief Development Officer, AESC
  • Fiona Howarth, CEO of Octopus Electric Vehicles

The event will be preceded by a zero emission vehicle breakfast reception hosted by the UK Government and Accelerating to Zero Coalition for speakers and invited guests.
