Envision Racing head to Berlin for Round 7 & 8 of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship
Six weeks with no racing has given the Silverstone based team chance to review and analyse the first six rounds of Season 12 and ensure the team and drivers are as well prepared for the coming races as best as possible, starting with the Berlin E-Prix this weekend on May 2nd and 3rd.
It has been a strong start to the season, sitting in fourth place in the team standings following good performances from drivers Sebastien Buemi and Joel Eriksson. Buemi brought home the first podium of the season in Jeddah and has scored points at every event to date. Eriksson demonstrated his best performance in Miami, finishing P4 to bring a solid haul of points to the team.
Last time out in Madrid saw the third double-points finish of the 2025/26 season, giving the team plenty of motivation heading into the six-week gap to refine performance.
THE CIRCUIT
The unique circuit is set at the Tempelhof Airport, which features a very different surface type to what the team and drivers are used to, given it was designed for planes rather than all-electric single seaters.
The concrete slabs which make up the 15-turn race circuit create highly abrasive conditions and a lot of work for the teams, dealing with energy management, along with tyre wear, and adding in some hot temperatures.
Berlin is a special destination for Formula E – being the only location the series has visited every year since inception, hosted at the Tempelhof every year bar one.
TRACK RECORD
A mixed set of results last season in Berlin for the team, with points on Saturday followed by a disappointing double DNF on Sunday due to a technical issue on both cars.
However, Berlin has seen plenty of success for the team – most notably in Season 9, with Buemi securing a pole position and his team-mate at the time, Nick Cassidy, taking victory in the race.
Eriksson made his debut for Envision Racing during the Season 10 Berlin E-Prix as a one-off race on reserve driver duties. He impressed the team with a points finishing performance after a hectic race, which ultimately contributed to him earning his full-team seat for Season 12.

Sebastien Buemi said: “I’m really looking forward to getting back racing with the team after a long gap since Madrid. We’ve been working hard to make sure the improvements we’ve seen so far this season continue and we keep maximising everything we can. Berlin has always delivered exciting races, and we’re expecting this year to be no different.”
Joel Eriksson said: “It’ll be great to head back to the circuit I had my first ever race with the team at. We had a good weekend last time here together, and I’m excited to be back in Berlin to build on my season so far.”
