Alice Powell to drive for Envision Racing during Valencia Women’s Test

Alice Powell, Test & Development driver for Envision Racing is set to get back behind the wheel during the women’s test day at the official pre-season test week in Valencia.

Powell, 32, first drove a Formula E car with the team back in the 2020 rookie test in Marrakesh. Since then, the British driver has maintained an important role within the team, supporting on the simulator and during rookie sessions.

Most recently, Powell drove for the Silverstone based team last year in the inaugural women’s test in Madrid. The session marked a first for an FIA World Championship to host an all-women’s session.

Despite reduced track time due to schedule changes from moving the event following devastating floods in Valencia, Powell was still able to complete plenty of laps and gathered valuable data for the team to learn from.

Alice Powell said: “I’m really looking forward to driving the Gen3 Evo again with Envision Racing, this time getting double the track time available compared to last year.

I’ll be doing all that I can to provide the team with useful data and feedback to assist them going into the new season.”

Managing Director & CTO, Sylvain Filippi said: “It’s great to have Alice back out in our car for the second official all-women’s test. She has been a brilliant asset to our team for a number of years now, supporting on the simulator as well as during selected tests.

We are confident that she will contribute valuable data for us to review ahead of the first race of Season 12.”

The all-women’s test will take place on October 31, the last day of the official pre-season test week in Valencia.
