Jack Aitken and Jonny Edgar both drove a Formula E car for the first time on Monday as they participated for Envision Racing in the rookie test in Berlin.
With damage to the chassis of Sebastien Buemi’s car meaning the two drivers had to share Nick Cassidy’s race-winning machinery throughout the day-long test, it was Aitken who competed in the morning session for the team before Edgar took over for the afternoon running.

Aitken would eventually finish 17th fastest on the timesheets.
Edgar had to wait for his opportunity, meanwhile, taking the track shortly into the afternoon session before running an abridged programme.
The teenager would eventually set a best lap time of 1:07.172, completing a limited number of laps to end up 20th on the final time sheets.
