Dynisma Ltd.® has signed an agreement to supply its high-performance DMG-1 driving simulator to Envision Racing, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship team, at its HQ in Silverstone in August 2026, as the team prepares for the highly anticipated Gen4 era in Season 13, 2026/2027.
The new DMG-1 simulator will strengthen Envision Racing’s existing Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) programme, providing drivers and engineers with an exceptionally high-fidelity environment in which to prepare for race weekends. With only two practice sessions available on a single-header race weekend, maximising the quality and depth of simulator work is critical to on-track performance.
The collaboration marks the latest step in Envision Racing’s ongoing commitment to technical excellence. As Season 9 World Champions, the team will look to leverage the DMG-1’s benchmark-setting ultra-low latency and high-bandwidth performance to maintain and build a competitive advantage as the sport transitions to Gen4. This new era in the sport will bring a huge leap in power and performance, with the car benefitting from 600kW of power (equivalent to more than 815hp), all-wheel drive and increased regenerative braking. With this added capability, Driver-in-the-Loop simulation becomes even more critical as teams set up their new race cars.
