Welsh born driver Ella Lloyd will make her debut for Envision Racing during the second annual women’s test day at the pre-season test in Valencia.
The 20-year-old driver begun her career in 2022 in the Ginetta Junior Championship, scoring points in 15 of 25 races in her debut year of racing. Lloyd made the jump up the following year to the Ginetta GT5 Championship, where she made her mark instantly, winning on her first race weekend, and ended the season with 10 wins, 10 pole positions and 17 podiums to finish in the runner-up spot overall.
In 2024 Lloyd made the step up to Formula 4 and picked up podiums in her first season in single seaters. During the same year, Lloyd served as the wildcard entry for the fifth round of the all-female F1 Academy series at Singapore, in which she finished both races inside the top ten.

2025 has seen Lloyd compete in a dual programme of British F4 and F1 Academy with the support of the McLaren Driver Development Programme. She has already stepped onto the podium eight times, including a win at Jeddah.
Lloyd is no stranger to Formula E machinery, after taking part in the Season 11 women’s test as well as the Berlin rookie day. Season 12 will see Lloyd step into the Envision Racing car for the first time, alongside team test and development driver, Alice Powell.
Ella Lloyd said: “I’m super excited to be joining Envision Racing for the second all female Formula E test, and I can’t wait to jump back into the car and continue my development.”
Managing Director & CTO, Sylvain Filippi said: “We are very happy to welcome Ella to the team in Valencia. We have watched her progress during the previous tests and been impressed with her speed and talent. We’re looking forward to working with her.”
Lloyd and Powell will take to the circuit on the final day of the pre-season test week, for a full day of running in the Gen3 Evo car, as Formula E continues to make history as the first FIA championship to hold an all-women’s test for the second year running.
